About our Work Together
Shared Source EC NY
Shared Source EC NY is an initiative of the NYS Early Care Advisory Council (ECAC). The ECAC provides strategic direction and advice to the State of New York on early childhood issues to further the building of a comprehensive and sustainable early childhood system that ensures success for all young children.
The Early Care and Learning Council and the New York Association for the Education of Young Children, both members of the ECAC, are responsible for managing the development and operation of the Shared Source EC NY. These organizations work with stakeholders representing government agencies, early care resource programs and providers to provide a website with a broad range of resources to support early care and education programs across New York.
Shared Source EC NY's mission is:
Shared Source EC NY will strengthen the capacity of programs to provide quality early childhood services and to support their financial viability.
In so doing, Shared Source EC NY advances the ECAC mission:
All young children are healthy, learning, and thriving in families that are supported by a full complement of services and resources essential for successful development.
